Founded in 1980 and specialised in work under contract for the production of tables and chairs for the residential, contract and office sectors, Emmei has rapidly succeeded in becoming an international leader, exporting products with a tangible quality the world over. In the '90s the company was engaged in the gradual direct commercialisation of its products and the specialised development of chairs and tables made in hide and metal.
Emmei's philosophy has been based on growth and evolution, as well as capturing the constant challenges and changes of an increasingly demanding market. In view of this, in 2005, the company laid the foundations of a new corporate quest, focusing on the specialised retailer as its main interlocutor.

FOR A STRONG PERSONALITY: Living for people
The company's vast experience has helped to create a new identity with the EMMEI living for people brand, designed to expand across new international horizons. A new style is designed with chairs, tables and occasional furnishings that are modern, linear, functional, full of personality and long lasting. Products that blend the quality of craftsmanship - thanks to the skill of the Industrial Chair District that has a long tradition in this product field - to the most efficient modern industrial processes. Furnishings that truly express Italian design and style.

The new collections and new Emmei image made their debut in 2006 at the Salone del Mobile held in Milan for the residential sector and at HOST for the contract sector. Success was overwhelming.

A CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION
In 2008 Emmei opened up to luxury furniture and launched Movimento Moderno, an elegant, refined and exclusive collection. Furniture became a precious and skilfully crafted cameo, with great attention given to each detail.
The new collection was launched during the Salone del Mobile in Milan and soon stood out thanks to its aesthetic values, the fine design, the skilful workmanship and carefully selected materials. The chairs, tables and furnishing accessories of the living area were complemented by sideboards, bookshelves and TV-stands.

Movimento Moderno embraces a style that is classic and contemporary at once; its design and the choice of materials aim at enhancing the sense of luminosity. The tempered glass tables refract the light as if they were diamonds. The fabrics glitter in the new shades of golden colours, while the buffed and mid grain leather offer a warm and cosy feeling.

DISTRIBUTED ALL OVER THE WORLD
Emmei has won a leading position both in the domestic market and abroad, with 40% share of its turnover coming from the former and the remaining 60% from export sales. Since its foundation, Emmei has grown to include 900 furniture retailers, 200 of which are located outside Italy.
An efficient sales network in Italy, coupled with agents and distributors operating in many countries all over the world ensure that the service offered to its valuable customers is timely and professional.
